As a woman. i would say that it all has to do with the way they were raised and their upbringing. there are many complex issues here. If they were abused by any adult, if their parents used to hit them, if they were taught that its ok for a man to disiplin them, if they saw their mother being hit ....etc. at the end, they have this beleif that it is ok for them to be hit. or even if they refuse it, they dont have the confidence and the ability to walk away from their abuser. They are week and dependant and they end up in a cycle that they cant escape.

I think this is deplorable. Things like this make me hate my own region! and to think, 90% of women in Jordan think it's fine...staggering! Queen Rania...what do you have to say about this?! lol
